Nick Miller of Miller Brothers Screen-printing asked me to develop a concept for Visalia’s own Brewbaker’s Bar and Restaurant. The owners knew that they wanted to see Aliens, and suggested the tagline: ‘The Ale-ians are coming’.
I sketched a couple preliminary layouts, and scanned them for approval. Once the basic concept was identified, i began to construct the vector image using Adobe Illustrator CS5. After some minor changes, and a few revisions, the artwork was again shown to the client, who loved it! With the final art approved, the colors were seperated, and the individual layers were sent off to the shirt printer.
It’s kind of a kick to see my design on the shirt of such a prominent Downtown Visalia business.
